PAIRS WELL WITH
Zach & Zoe raw honey (straight from the jar works for us!), warm oat mylk, or simply some hot water for a quick immune boosting power shot.
A BUZZ WORTHY NOTE
We love raw honey as it’s unpasteurized and unprocessed, which allows its beneficial enzymes and antibacterial properties to remain intact. Raw honey contains prebiotics that promote the growth of good gut bacteria, as well as disease fighting polyphenols, which are powerful antioxidants. Perfect for pre-winter immune strengthening efforts.
Mix 2 tsp of Releaf with 3oz of hot water and ½ tsp. of raw honey. Let cool until you're able to take the whole thing back in 1-2 sips.
COZY WINTER ELIXIR
Add 1 tsp of Releaf to your mug. Pour warm oat mylk directly on top of the blend. Add coconut oil (helps to make a frothy beverage). Add a drizzle of maple syrup, if desired. Whisk with a hand blender until frothy. Add a dash of cinnamon on top, grab a blanket, and snuggle up.
Elderberry Is a safe and effective preventive and treatment of cold and flu symptoms. It's also reduces inflammation, provides relief from allergies and even supports digestion.
Beetroot Beets are one of the few vegetables that contain betalains, a powerful antioxidant that gives beets their vibrant color. Betalains reduce inflammation and may help protect against cancer and other diseases.
Schisandra Berry This adaptogenic berry has beauty and brains, having been used for centuries to support the production of thick and shiny hair, and firm skin.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), schisandra is considered an "adaptogen," meaning a plant or herb that balances the body's functions and maintains homeostasis. The berry itself is often called "five-flavor berry" because it possesses all five of the basic flavors of Chinese herbal medicine: salty, sweet, sour, spicy, and bitter. Having these flavors means that it can benefit all five yin organs: the liver, lungs, heart, kidneys, and spleen.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, schisandra is revered for its anti-aging properties and is used to promote physical, emotional, and even sexual stamina. The berries or seeds may be used to treat cough, asthma, indigestion, diarrhea, flu, insomnia, skin allergy, heart palpitations, insulin resistance, and premenstrual syndrome, among other conditions.
MCT Oil “MCTs” or medium-chain triglycerides, are a form of saturated fatty acids that have been shown to boost cognitive function as well as support healthy weight management through raising the body’s metabolic rate.
Ginger Digestive aid, anti-microbial, and is an anti-inflammatory powerhouse.
Clove An antioxidant rich warming spice, supporting the immune system and reducing oxidative stress in the body.
